Neck hugs and butterfly kisses.

So Devyn runs up and jumps in my lap and gives me a hug around the neck, neck hugs are my all time favorite. They just make you feel so loved and warm and fuzzy. ;) A thought hits me; I just turned 29 and right around the corner all 3 of my kids will be celebrating birthdays soon. Jace will be 9, EJ: 5 and Devyn: 3. Where has time gone and why does it keep moving so quickly. It makes me sad and happy all at the same time. Sad that one day my kids will be to old for neck hugs and butterfly kisses but I also love watching them grow but if you would have told me 11 years ago that I would have 2 handsome boys that light up my life and a beautiful little girl who would be my best friend, I probably would have laughed. It is amazing how your life can turn out completely different from what you may have imagined when you were 18 yrs. old.

 My life is way better then I could ever imagined  at 18 I was a selfish teenager. I thought marriage was a joke and kids were not something I wanted but I became pregnant at 19 and my world turned upside down but I would do it all over again just to make sure I got my Jace. I feel so blessed to be married to my husband and that I met him young and didn't have to wait forever to meet my ever after. Our children are my whole world and I can't imagine a life with out them. Yes, I get stressed and they can all drive me a little crazy sometimes but I will take all the craziness and more to have them in my life. Not sure why this has all come rushing forward, it could be the timing or that amazing neck hug I just got but either way it is a good thing. It reminds me to slow down and enjoy the small beautiful moments with my kids because one day they wont be so open and innocent. To take a deep breath when I'm becoming frustrated and talk kindly to them and also listen to what they have to say, they may be kids but their voices deserve to be heard. My goals have changed constantly through my life but the  goals that are on the top of my list and will always be, are to be the best mom and wife I can be and for my kids to feel that I am the best Mom. Jace always tells me I'm the best mom and every time he says it, it makes me feel so great, it reminds me that I may not always feel like the best mom but him saying it makes me feel like I'm accomplishing my goals.

I don't think I ever really understood unconditional love until the day John placed our first born in my arms, no words can describe the feelings that come when you hold your child for the first time and I was lucky enough to experience those wonderful feelings three times.

For Always

So while making myself a big coffee cup of chocolate milk I started thinking about all the things I will love no matter how old I get. So here is a list of my top 10 "For Always" :) They aren't in a order of likes to less likes, they are all equally amazing.

Visiting Teaching

So this week has been good. I don't have to work this weekend which is nice. Jace got his cast off  and he is so happy about that. He wont get to play any football or do any real physical activity for the next two to three weeks but he has had a great time helping the coach and his teammates. He has made a lot of new friends, one is spending the night tonight.

Eoghan is loving school and is learning so much so fast. Today was popcorn day at his school and he loved that and said it was a lot of fun.

Devyn and I are really enjoying our mommy/daughter time together. I thought we were close before but if anything she is becoming more of a mommy's girl having me to herself everyday for 8 hrs. :)

Today my visiting teacher partner and I went out to see the ladies assigned to us and it is the first time either of us has done this. It went great and we had a really good time getting to know them. It was also the first time for Emily and I  really got to know each other and I have to say I'm very lucky b/c she is great and so are the ladies we teach.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow b/c I'm going to a dinner at my church for Relief Society and then watching the Relief Society broadcast, always a good time, yummy food, great people and the broadcast is always wonderful.

Well that is about it in the lives of the Holloway's this week. :)

So Fresh and So Clean Clean

So I have been super slaking in the blogging department. Not sure if it matters b/c I really don't know if anyone actually reads my blogs. :)

Friday was my 29th birthday and it was pretty good, spent if with some really nice people.

Saturday I seriously laid around in my jammies, it was nice.

Sunday I worked my butt off cleaning a four bedroom unit but it looked great afterwards and the people who moved in really like it.

Today was good, I'm officially hooked on Criminal Minds.

I think snuggling into warm, fresh clean sheets is probably the best thing ever.

Two For One

So, I got way too caught up in a book last night and forgot to blog. I'm trying to blog every night just to keep a sort of journal. So tonight will be about yesterday and today. :)

Eoghan is so funny, he is always saying the most random things. Yesterday we went shopping after I picked him up from school and we are at Super Wal-Mart and walking by the beef and he says, "Wow, look at all the steaks." Then we come across these two super huge steaks and he loudly says, "Whoa..mom, dinosaur meat." Everyone around us really got a kick out of that.

Tonight for dinner I made steak and I'm in the kitchen making everyone's plates and I hear Jace and Eoghan talking.

Jace: "So, what's for dinner?"
Eoghan: "Dinosaur meat and man it smells real good." :)





Ugh..Friday is my 29th birthday,(gag) not very excited to be on the wrong side of my 20's.
I am getting to do something really special for my birthday that I'm super excited about so that is a plus.

Pop to the Tart

So after seeing Peanut butter Pop Tarts on the shelf for a while I finally decided to buy some and HELLO, they are so good. Seriously, Pop Tart has come up with some "unique" new flavors but this  one is by far the best but I'm kinda biased b/c I pretty much love anything peanut butter.

So yeah buying Peanut butter Pop Tarts was the high light of my day. :)

Labor day/ Tina's Birthday

We had a ton of fun hanging out with the family.

Go Bull Dogs

Jace's team had their first game. Even though Jace couldn't play due to a broken arm he was there cheering them on and providing them with cold drinks. They did great and looked so cute. :)
